Free and Pay-What-You-Want 5e DMs Guild Highlights: Week Ending 7.27.19

Every week, talented creators upload products to the DMs Guild, pricing them as free or pay-what-you-want in order to reach customers. Dozens of new free and pwyw products are added each week alone. It is a lot to sort through. My hope is that highlighting a few of each week's best supplements will help the designers get the attention they deserve.

You can find previous posts in this series HERE.

PLEASE NOTE: This series will not be appearing next week, but will be back on 8.10.19.

Old School 5th Ed. Character Sheet from Billy Longino

I have actually been using this retro-style sheet for years; I guess I saw it on Reddit? Who knows. It is great you can get it here on the DMs Guild now. This is a cool take on the old "goldenrod" 1e AD&D sheet.

D&D 5e Character Professions from FuzzyTuna Taco

This is an inventive alternate system for professions. Players gain xp in their professions the more they utilize them, unlocking more abilities. Breathes new life into 5e's tools and mundane gear.

Playas Gotta Play, Brain Suckas Gotta Suck Brain from Ben Boyarko

Wonderfully imaginative pseudo-module set in the otherworldly Casino Tentacular.

Grazaxe's Deck of Magical Loot from A.J. Moore

So this is meant to be printed and cut into cards; it follows the same suits, etc of a normal card deck. There are a bunch of interesting new magic items here, so even if you don't use it as a card deck, it has some value. Could make for a fun way to hand out items at your table.

The Urchin of Camorr from David Barrentine

This one of the best looking PWYW adventures that I have ever seen on the Guild. Pro layout and art, top-notch cartography, new items, player handouts...very nice. This is part one of a series of modules comprising The Knights of the Shadowfell mega-adventure. I would love to snag a print copy when the whole thing is completed. In this first adventure, children are disappearing from Camorr and the players have to get to the bottom of it.

  1. The link for the old school 5E character sheet is bad (or more likely it's no longer available on DtRPG).
