Free and Pay-What-You-Want 5e DMs Guild Highlights: Week Ending 5.25.19

Every week, talented creators upload products to the DMs Guild, pricing them as free or pay-what-you-want in order to reach customers. Dozens of new free and pwyw products are added each week alone. It is a lot to sort through. My hope is that highlighting a few of each week's best supplements will help the designers get the attention they deserve.

You can find previous posts in this series HERE.

Waterdeep Factbook from Mike Knudsen

This is a truly helpful Waterdeep gazetteer, complete with random tables, maps and more. If you are running anything in or around the City of Splendors, snag this immediately.

The Artist Commune of Skullport: An Undermountain Encounter from Green Bird RPGs

I've mentioned other releases from these folks before (here and here). They make some really inventive add-ons for the Dungeon of the Mad Mage adventure. Their artwork is also always top-notch.

100 Non-Combat Random Encounters from Dungeons and Djinn

If you have followed these posts or my podcast for a while, you are aware of my fondness for random tables. The "non-combat" series of tables from Dungeons and Djinn are perfect for quick inspiration and bringing an area of your campaign to life without straining the ol' noggin.

Planeswalking and You: The Primary Colours of Mana from JankyAss Games

These ten core archetypes are based around the mechanics and concepts from the Magic the Gathering game. I know next to nothing about Magic and still liked it.

Zebediah's Fishing Techniques and Equipment from Scott Borland

This is one of those odd and unique supplements that you just wouldn't see without the DMs Guild. High production values, strange bait lists ("Pick me up some mindflayer tadpoles at the store, will ya?"), inventive gear...this is entirely better than I imagined it would be. Wonderfully creative.
