Free and Pay-What-You-Want 5e DMs Guild Highlights: Week Ending 8.31.19

Every week, talented creators upload Dungeons and Dragons products to the DMs Guild, pricing them as free or pay-what-you-want in order to reach customers. Dozens of new free and pwyw products are added each week alone. It is a lot to sort through. My hope is that highlighting a few of each week's best supplements will help the designers get the attention they deserve.

You can find previous posts in this series HERE.

It is incredible that a "slow" week on the DMs Guild still meant over 30 new free and pwyw titles. Here are my favorites.

An Alphabet of Uncommon Magic Items from G Collie

I mentioned the "common" entry in this product line a while back. Collie has tons of cool ideas, perhaps none cooler than the "Weird Bundle of Hair" which allows players to get skill bonuses by mimicking the facial hair of Dali, Chaplin, and Hercule Poirot. Awesome artwork.

100 Non-Combat Random Encounters (Underwater) from Dungeons and Djinn

Here we have the latest d100 table in Dungeons and Djinn's long-running series. One thing I love about these is that you can use them for any edition. I will eventually print all of these and compile them into my DM kit.

Politics of Aundair from Joseph Meehan

Having already covered Karrnath and Breland, here Meehan turns their sights to Aundair. You definitely want to grab these if you are running Eberron games.

Baeris' Guide to Thieves Cant: Remastered from Liam Carr

Very interesting little supplement that treats Thieves Cant as a system of graffiti-symbols and coded messages from playing cards as opposed to a spoken language.
