Let's Play Labyrinth Lord!

Hi, a quick post today just to let people know that I have a Labyrinth Lord (B/X D&D retro-clone) game on the online RPG Table, and I still have a couple of slots open!

If you ever played on the old Wizards VT, basically when they decided to drop it, the company that developed it picked it up. The great news is that it is free to play; the rules are also free to download.

We meet kind of loosely on Fridays at 8 pm EST (GMT-5). Once you have registered above, you can join the game here. Full details on the game, including character creation rules, can be found here at the online retro-game Wizards group.

Anyways, if anybody is interested in checking it out, even for a session, it would be cool! Have a great weekend!

P.S.-Don't forget to check out the 4e Forever playtest if you haven't already!

  1. Man, this sounds awesome. I've never played Labyrinth Lord before, but I have toyed with Swords & Wizardry before as a player. Are you just playing with the straight LL rules, or the Advanced Edition Companion as well?

    1. Just the "core rules". Yes, we played last night and had a good time! Next game is 9/7 at 8 pm eastern, so check it out if interested. We still have a couple of slots!

  2. Aww. why did it have to be Friday nights? I DM a game on Friday Nights. However, I would like to try the Olde Skool stuff once or twice, so I have an idea of where everything came from. Perhaps, you or someone else can run a One-Shot or two of the LL stuff on a different night? Let me know.

In other news, I've started a Blog of my own!

Not much there yet, though. I hope to have some content soon.

    1. That is really my only free day for it right now, but if that changes I will post about it.

  3. Sad. I'll have to find another way to get to try some of the Olde Skool stuff.

Also, I'm starting a Series of Articles on my Blog about making Custom Monsters and some techniques for re-skinning them quickly and easily. Just posted the first part a bit ago. Would love to have a few comments on my ideas, especially from someone I respect as an equal.
