They seem to have really bulked up the $40 level rewards; looks like a lot of good content. They must have called in some big favors.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4116097391013897989.post-38706196576493880222013-07-23T16:53:52.932-04:002013-07-23T16:53:52.932-04:00That's too bad but not surprising. They can always try again with more realistic pricing that reflects actual going market rates. I've seen lots of comments across the web that people are passing on this due simply to pricing. :(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4116097391013897989.post-89462018062710508122013-07-23T13:27:45.265-04:002013-07-23T13:27:45.265-04:00Doesn't look like its gonna make it.Doesn't look like its gonna make it. I just fear they won't make their goal but not because people don't want to support them, but because they're just asking too much. There are tons of settings out there and most are perfectly good while being system neutral. I think if they made the PDF $20 and the hardback $40, they'd have already met their goal. I buy a ton of PDFs and even $30 PDFs are pretty rare. When you see a $30-40 PDF, it's something like The Worlds Largest Dungeon or Ptolus or Tome of Horrors complete. I'm talking 800 page PDFs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4116097391013897989.post-78670917398492249372013-07-17T19:02:51.152-04:002013-07-17T19:02:51.152-04:00I agree the price is on the high side. Supporting this also sends a message that gamers like to see multiple game systems supported. Finally, they say on their page that if you buy one pdf, you get the pdf for all three systems. A lot of folks play both 4e and 13th Age, so it isnt quite as steep looking at it that way. That said, yeah it is basically on the fringe of what I would pay. Seriously? That should be the price for the hardcover. $10-25 for a teaser.....PDF? Unbelievable. I hope they make their funding, but I wouldn't pay $40 for a PDF for anyones work sight unseen honestly, save maybe Gygax himself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
